Will blow your socks off!

Turbo cider is exactly what its name suggests – one that is very quick and easy to make. It uses pure apple juice as opposed to whole apples, eliminating the messy business of preparing your own apples.

Ingredients

  • 4.5 litres of pure apple juice
  • 1 x 6g packet of yeast (wine yeast is fine)
  • Sugar / honey (optional)

Brewing Method

  1. Sterilize everything you are going to use
  2. Pour 3 litres of apple juice into a clean demijohn
  3. Place the yeast in the demijohn. Give it a good shake, add a bung and airlock and leave for about 36 hours to ferment.
  4. Add the remainder of apple juice.
  5. Leave to ferment; ensure that the starting gravity is constant for at least 3 days.

If you like a stronger cider, you can add about 80g of sugar and 2 – 3 teaspoons of honey. This should give you a cider with an ABV of about 7%.
